Community Fridge:
We know that many families in our community are facing difficult times.
Access to food is a growing concern, but we also understand that when someone is struggling financially, it often affects much more than just their weekly shop.
Our Community Fridge provides practical support through food and hygiene parcels, but we always look at the bigger picture. We take time to understand the individual or family’s circumstances so we can respond in a way that feels personal and meaningful.
For special occasions such as birthdays or Christmas, we try to add small extras — a cake, a gift, or something thoughtful for children — helping families feel a sense of normality and celebration during challenging times.
We work closely with local partners including hospitals, schools, councils and social care professionals who refer residents to us for additional support.
Beyond food, we can offer signposting to further services, online chats, free activities, books and wider wellbeing support.
No one should feel alone in facing hardship — we are here to help.
